We can decode serial numbers from Daikin furnaces, ACs and heat pumps built 2016–2026.
2016–2026 format
On Daikin ducted furnaces, air conditioners and heat pumps (models starting with D, such as DX, DZ, DD and DR), the first two digits of the serial number are the year and the next two are the month. For example, a serial starting 2410 was made in October 2024. The serial is ten digits with no letters. Daikin ductless and VRF units use different serial numbers that we can't decode yet.

- Furnaces: 12-year parts and 20-year heat exchanger warranty if registered within 60 days of installation; 5 years parts and 10 years heat exchanger if not. Registered owners who keep up annual maintenance also get a one-time unit replacement if the heat exchanger fails in the first 6 years.
- Air conditioners: 12-year parts warranty if registered within 60 days of installation; 5 years if not. Registered owners who keep up annual maintenance also get a one-time unit replacement if the compressor fails early (6 years on DX13SA-DX16SA, 12 years on DX16TC-DX20VC).
- Heat pumps: 12-year parts warranty if registered within 60 days of installation; 5 years if not. As with Daikin ACs, registered and maintained units get a one-time unit replacement if the compressor fails early.

Registration is not required in California, Florida, Georgia (installs from 2026) or Quebec. Coverage ends if the unit is moved from where it was first installed.
